About GC-PIN
The Gulf Coast Petrochemical Information Network (GC-PIN) is a consortium of several greater Houston Texas Gulf Coast coast community colleges, industry employers, economic developers, state and local workforce agencies, industry associations, chambers of commerce and public school districts.
The collaborative network extends across four Texas counties – Harris, Chambers, Brazoria and Galveston and represents a population base of nearly four million people, and the refining and petrochemical permanent jobs within those counties total just over 343,000. The Gross Product Activity of the refining and petrochemical companies within the Network geography surpasses $100 billion.
The Network promotes awareness, recruitment training, certification programs and Associates Degrees for the current and future generation of petrochemical industry workers.
